Production Planner
Production Planner at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Bulgaria is responsible for ensuring the efficient scheduling and coordination of production processes to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory requirements.
- Ensure that schedules are aligned with capacity constraints, labor availability, and material supply.
- Coordinate with the production team to adjust schedules as necessary due to changes in demand, machine breakdowns, or other disruptions.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods to meet production demands.
- Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
- Manage inventory costs by balancing production schedules with inventory holding requirements.
Capacity Planning:
- Analyze production capacity and identify bottlenecks, proposing solutions to enhance production flow.
- Plan and manage resources, including labor and machinery, to meet production targets.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the production planning function.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing techniques or other continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 2-3 years in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and other planning software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with different departments.
- Problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing production challenges.
- Very good in English, both written and spoken;
