Manufacturing Manager

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager for our team, who will contribute to the success our company and will have the opportunity to work with global industry leaders.

Candidate:
The successfully appointed Manufacturing Manager will have the following skills and abilities:
Great desire to work, curiosity and desire for professional development as a Manufacturing Manager.
Have the ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience in the manufacturing sector.
Experience of preparing for internal and external audits.
Proven ability to manage, inspire & develop large teams.
Proven ability to manage, inspire & develop new and established leaders or first line managers.
Experience of using KPI data to recognise trends and devise and implement improvement plans.
The ability or the potential to lead a team to reaching new goals, and the ability to engage with colleagues across quality, engineering, production delivery and planning.
A meticulous approach to details.
Excellent English- verbal and written.

Responsibilities:
To oversee and coordinate all activities and operations in the production team.
Be responsible for providing support, leading improvement and culture change as well as ensuring all KPIs are met.
Promote a culture that encourages, supports and recognises team working in line with the Mission.
Cascades, escalates and feeds back relevant information.
Take the Critical Incident Manager (CIM) role during site wide incidents.
To ensure that agreed and authorised production programmes and timelines are implemented and achieved.
Understands team strengths, develops team leaders and has a strategy for talent development and team upskilling.
Leads process improvements that can be delivered in the short term. Champions Continuous Improvement in the area.
To encourage all staff to work within a continuously improving environment by consistent communication of objectives and standards.
To develop direct reports and staff to work within self-managed teams requiring coaching rather than managing.
To encourage all staff to improve Health and Safety statistics and work in a manner supporting a safe working environment by ensuring all Health and Safety guidelines are followed.
Assist in designing and ongoing management of strategic training plans for Production.
Work with the area supervisors and other members of staff ensuring all Policies and Procedures are followed.
Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines and employees.
Responsible for shift schedules, overtime management, shift rotations and back up for absent staff.
Act as the main point of contact for escalation through effective use of the production team for problem solving and root cause analysis.
When required, to be responsible for generation, review or approval of compliance documentation.
