The StarShip program is a one-year internship designed to help you gain a comprehensive understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) principles and practices, data mapping, translation, and system testing.
You will also get experience with documentation, communication, and problem-solving, enabling you to effectively support EDI implementation projects and ensure compliance with industry standards.
The position can be considered a natural career path for people with aspirations to advance in an enterprise environment and offers possibilities to become an EDI & EDM consultant at Eviden Bulgaria.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the basics of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), including its purpose, standards and how it facilitates electronic communication between trading partners
• Familiarize oneself with the EDI software and systems used in the day-to-day operations
• Learn how to map data between different formats, ensuring compatibility and compliance with trading partner requirements
• Assist in testing EDI transactions, identifying and resolving any issues that arise during testing and providing support for troubleshooting EDI-related problems
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to coordinate EDI implementation, resolve issues and ensure smooth data exchange
Requirements:
• 3rd-4th year student in Information Technologies / Computer Science / Business Administration
• Strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn EDI concepts and practices
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with ERP systems and SQL queries will be considered an advantage
• Self-organized, effective learner and team player
• Very good English – both written and spoken
