  • The IT Support Engineer is responsible for the overall end user support including various systems and services, coordinating environment changes as needed by multiple Business-Critical Units and provide assistance for internal IT clients.
  • Responsibilities include the planning of actions/milestones, the coordination of the small initiatives/projects and efforts of team members and third-party contractors, diagnose and troubleshoot software or hardware problems. The IT Support Engineer responsibilities include resolving minor network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support.


  • Organize all activities related to system administration
  • Organize term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization
  • Key participant in the installation, maintenance, configuration and integrity of computer software
  • Collaborate with implementing the operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system
  • Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
  • Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to IT customers
  • Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Follow up with IT clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
  • Maintain relationships with clients
  • Take ownership of end user issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve system issues
  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration.

Technical knowledge and skills:

  • Understanding of IP/ Ethernet/ WAN based Networks
  • Knowledge of best practices pertaining to Service Provider/ Enterprise LAN/ WAN designs networking background
  • Broad line of Cisco network devices including different models of switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, Wi-Fi, ACS and VoIP solutions.
  • Ability to manage Windows DNS, knowledge of different DNS record types and ability to identify and implement Microsoft best practices as they relate to global AD deployment.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory administration and architecture design.
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows OS environments
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software

  • Experience in IT Engineering and user support area, ideally with experience in both infrastructure and application management
