3E and our global IT team is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer II to work in our Sofia office (hybrid position).

Overview of Job:

Infrastructure Engineer are responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining 3E’s computing infrastructure. They are responsible for systems security, application availability, application performance, hardware, and software maintenance. 3E Infrastructure Engineers solve problems, provide technical guidance, and provide operational support of all infrastructure components. Tasks assigned to Infrastructure Engineer II range in complexity from standard maintenance tasks to complex technical challenges often requiring, collaboration, research, focused problem solving, planning, and testing. 3E infrastructure Engineers are expected to maintain currency with technology. Infrastructure Engineer II are senior level engineers who require minimal direction.

Principal Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• Network Security / Threat Remediation – Threat management, monitoring, patching and remediation. A diligent attention to change management. A primary responsibility of this position is to protect the network and the business.

• Operating Systems Installation & Maintenance – Experienced with operating system commands (Microsoft, Cisco, HP, etc.) and in resolving operating system issues. Experienced in restart/recovery procedures and knowledge of communication and user interface aspects of the operating system. Able to install, configure, and upgrade operating system parameters, network interfaces, and drivers. Comfortable using the command line interface.

• Demonstrates competency in the use of diagnostic tools. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to successfully deliver services with minimal support and direction from others.

• Work with junior members of the infrastructure team to provide guidance/ coaching/training and constructive suggestions to improve their performance in completing assigned helpdesk tickets, network maintenance and development tasks.

• Interact/support end-user management and or clients on all aspects of problem resolution and project development activities.

• Design and implement network configurations, network architecture (including hardware and software technology, site locations, and integration of technologies), and systems. Monitors network performance and quality of service, identifying bottlenecks and performance problems.

• Demonstrated the ability to successfully provide diagnostic, problem solving and troubleshooting expertise.

• Completes all responsibilities and objectives as outlined on annual Performance Plan.

• Completes all special projects and other duties assigned.

• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

• Excellent oral, listening, and written skills. Ability to effectively communicate at the customer’s level.

• A self-starter who can efficiently manage, prioritizes, and complete assignments with little technical direction. Possess excellent research skills and strong problem-solving skills in a client-server hybrid network environment.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and significant experience working as a systems engineer are preferred. A high school or technical school certificate and relevant work experience are required.

• 5 years of progressive experience supporting information systems. Significant exposure to and a working knowledge of cloud and hybrid deployments, network security strategies, tools and deployments, LAN/WAN technologies, Cisco network infrastructure components and tools, servers & storage, MS Server Active Directory, WINS / DNS, M365, SQL, Clustering, IIS, etc.

• Experience with AWS and Azure deployments.

• Strong knowledge in installing and supporting Microsoft Windows servers, including customization and implementation.

• In-depth knowledge of network maintenance standards, protocols, and processes.

• Demonstrated ability to learn and execute new technical skills with increasing levels of efficiency.

• AWS or Microsoft certifications are a plus.

• Experience with OKTA, Zscaler, Crowdstrike, NinjaOne, Splunk, JIRA, and Confluence is a plus.
