Procurement Specialist

We at KBC Shared Service Center are part of KBC Group, one of Europe´s leading financial institutions with 12 million clients across Europe. We support the bank-insurance entities within KBC Group by working on various projects and back-office activities in several key domains: Credits and Finance, Insurance, Software Development, Financial Markets and more.

As our Procurement Expert, you will be responsible for:

  • Communicating with all relevant units in companies from KBC Group, external suppliers and KBC Belgium Procurement
  • Keeping and following procurement rules and procedure in line with KBC group standards.
  • Leading negotiations and single point of contact for Belgium and global suppliers
  • Challenging internal clients on their requests and decision making
  • Calculating TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) for the more complex projects
  • Takes decision as a buyer in a certain range amount
  • Coordinating of the investment projects relating to different entities in KBC Group. Assisting in defining objectives, tasks and budgets.
  • Preparing inquiries, invitations, evaluation methodology, commercial evaluation, financial conditions, comparison tables, etc.
  • Performing various types of market analyses and forecasts, formulating proposals for optimization and cost reduction or for the use of a substitute product / service.

Key competences that will help you succeed:

  • Solid background in procurement (at least 5 years) - main focus in the domain of IT services and/or HR
  • Proficiency of English, written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Computer literacy: ERP (SAP), advanced MS EXCEL
  • Master´s degree with an economic or technical orientation.
