Youth Exchange "Zero tolerance for intolerance" that will be held from 10 till 18 of November 2017 in Rakičan, Slovenia

Summary of the project:
The European Youth exchange 'Zero tolerance for intolerance' will bring together 35 youths to strengthen the awareness that all people are equal and have the same rights as well as enhance the awareness that human rights are granted to us in order to make use of them, and
enjoy the freedom that comes with them as well as to respect them in relation to other people. The aim of this project is to actively involve young people in researching human rights with focus on the LGBTIQ community. With related activities we will be able to break LGBTIQ stereotypes and prejudices, reduce homophobic thinking as well as spread tolerance and promote the acceptance of different forms of partnerships. Young participants will talk about who the faces of LGBTIQ really are and what restrictions and obstacles they are facing in every-day life. They will present the situation and status of the LGBTIQ community in their home country and share best practice examples. To stop homophobia, discrimination and intolerance as well as to promote tolerance, the participants will prepare material of their own choosing that will be regularly published on-line during the youth exchange. The main activity will be centered on the International Day for Tolerance. Objectives

- Workshops in the field of human rights (with an emphasis on the rights of members of the LGBTIQ community): debates, presentation, individual work, group work, interactive workshops, crative workshops, role plays …

- Interaction with local people

- NGO market (each partner will have time to present their NGO)
- Intercultural dinner (please bring some typical food and drinks from your country, also bring some brochures about your country, flag …)
- Open space activities: participants will also have time to present their project, activities, passions …

The Seminar venue will be RIS Mansion Rakičan (http://www.ris-dr.si)
Travel Budget
The budget for travel is 275€ per person.
