Youth Exchange "Theater For Rural Youth" 07 – 17 October 2017, Teregova village, Romania
Age of participants and requirements: 7 participants from Bulgaria 16 to 26 years old + 1 group leader aged 18+
About the project:
Theater for rural youth is a project that brings together 48 participants from 6 countries Romania,
Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Slovakia and Macedonia.
The project consists of a youth exchange which will be implemented in Teregova, Caras-Severin,
Romania, between 07 and 17.10.2017.
The main objective of our project is to offer rural youth the opportunity to become active citizens in the
community and able to cope with a job interview at any level.
Objectives
1. to develop communication skills in English using for 42 young people;
2. to increase confidence and self-esteem for 42 young people in 6 countries;
3. to improve the communication capacities of the 42 young people from 6 countries in order to face
the job interview for employment;
4. to increase cooperation between 6 NGOs in 6 countries;
5. to teach the 42 young people to use the theater as a method of activating the other young people in
their local communities;
6. to develop the skills to work with young people from rural areas for 6 different NGOs.
7. to determine the 42 young people to use the Youthpass certificate in the learning process and to
get a job.
The exchange will provide more information to participants about Erasmus Plus projects.
Participants
From each country will participate 7 young people aged 16 to 26 years and one group leaders aged 18+, 4
boys and 4 girls.
Participants in the exchange will be young with financial opportunities reduced, mostly rural but also
from urban areas peripheral, disadvantaged geographically and financially , disabled, lightweight ostacole
of education, unemployed and ethnic with social integration difficulties, discriminated against or with
health problems, all motivated for the initiation and development of the theater in rural areas and beyond.
Accommodation
For this YE, the participants will be accommodated in a boarding house in Rusca - Teregova, in 2-3 bed
rooms, mixed international, but NOT GENDER. Each room has its own bathroom.
The boarding house has internet, own dining room and a big green yard to enjoy the free time. You should
bring your own hygienic products and house shoes. Towels, bed sheets and blankets are provided by
boarding house.
The training spaces has internet, video projector, conference room etc.
Financial Conditions
Accommodation, food and materials during activity days as well as visa costs are fully covered by the
project.
Travel costs for the meeting will be reimbursed when invoices, e-tickets, boarding passes and other
tickets are delivered to the host NGO according to Erasmus + rules. We have a specific document.
Travel grand for Bulgaria is 180 EUR.
All participants in the youth exchange have the option of receiving a Youthpass certificate which proves
their participation in the exchange. Youthpass is a tool to document and recognize learning outcomes from
youth work activities. It is available for projects funded by Erasmus+: Youth in Action (2014-2020). It is a
part of the European Commission’s strategy to foster the recognition of non-formal learning, putting policy
into practice and practice into policy:
- While creating their Youthpass certificate together with a support person, project participants are
given the possibility to describe what they have done in their project and which competences they
have acquired. Thus, Youthpass supports the reflection upon the personal non-formal learning
process and outcomes.
- As a Europe-wide recognition instrument for non-formal learning in the youth field, Youthpass
strengthens the social recognition of youth work.
- Youthpass supports active European citizenship of young people and of youth workers by describing
the added value of their project.
- Youthpass also aims at supporting the employability of young people and of youth workers by
raising their awareness of and helping to describe their competences, and by documenting their
acquisition of key competences on a certificate.
